I was in fort benning ga 2 1/2 years ago and I loved the army unlike most deserters. I had a terrible gambling problem going in. After AIT I went to airborne school where I soon got redirected towards my gambling habits. I lost a lot of money and needed to get some money quick to pay off debts. I asked for a leave to get a loan at a bank near home. They turned it down. Soon I was able to speak to a higher commander who gave me the leave. I won 27,000 dollars gambling during my leave and thought I could do it forever. I was blinded by an illness not because I did not want to fight for our country. I loved being a soldier my father was in the ARMY that's all that I wanted to do growing up. So 2 1/2 years later I have been pulled over 3 times had 2 tickets filed taxes every year and held a job all through out the AWOL/Desertion. I am tired of being ashamed. I am embarrassed of what I done and want to somehow make a good husband and father one day. I have gone to Gamblers Annyonmous and now i want to face up to the Army. I just want it to be known that I did not run because I was scared I want to be apart of the army I want to serve my country I just ****** up.

He needs to have his lawyer on velocity dial! i'm greater desirable than specific he would be held in confinement for a courtroom martial. i need to be incorrect, yet i surely think of that is going to ensue. it incredibly is stable for him to teach his self in. although because he has been long previous for that long he ought to talk with a lawyer first and have his lawyer help him along with his resign. He could properly be sent to a militia penal complex, yet i don't be attentive to for a fashion long. an incredible style of the folk I even have be attentive to who went AWOL or abandoned have been long previous for a shorter quantity of time. maximum of them basically have been given 30 days. He needs to recollect that he nonetheless must be picked up at any time if he's rushing or everywhere while the police are observed as. in the event that they run a verify then they are going to arrest him and it is normally plenty harder on him.

Fair enough.

Of course, your goal of being a good husband and father will remain on hold until you report back to the Army and settle your debt to them.

Of course it would be impossible to be a good father while living under the real possibility of arrest.

Get it over with, then stay on track to achieve your goal.
