is this unusual?

ok so i started my period like a year ago im 12 now...
but its always been on schedule (basicly) the earliest its been has been the 15th and the latest it has been was the 22nd so no worries there but my question is some times it is really lite like a panty liner useage but some times i have to use huge pads even when i change about every 4 hours...
why is this?
Also why does it last sometimes for like 10 days but sometimes like 2-3 days?

This occurrence will go on throughout your life, you just never know when it will be light or when it will be heavy, and whether it will last 3 days or 10 days, it varies from woman to woman.

Yes this is normal. You should talk these things over with your Dr and/or Mother it is important tht you learn about your body. Also if the mixed up schedule continiues your Dr may want to put you on Birthcontrol to help you out. Birth control also helps prevent some cancers and acne always good for teenagers starting to date. You might want to change your pad more often like every 2 hrs.

You're still young and haven't had your period for very long (considering you'll have it until you get into your 40s or 50s). This variation is what happens when you first get it and your body is still trying to figure out what's "normal" for you. Don't worry about this unless it goes on for 3 years or more.

Because your body is still trying to adjust to the changes going on inside of it. I would recommend letting your mom know what is going on as well and also your doctor when you have your next check up.

Every other month you will have a heavy period and bleed alot. and so it'll be 4 exsample:heavy,light,heavy,ligh ect ect.
