Yes it is very hard. I know this because i am a Capricorn. We feel very nervous to approach people/ hitting on them because it is too out there or we don't trust you enough yet to let you get to know our deeper personalities.

If your Rising Sign or Ascendant is Capricorn, people would be shocked if you act eccentrically, as Sea Goats exude an old-fashioned, authoritative aura. Even if you feel like the life of the party, others expect you to be the picture of industriousness, the boss figure with an impeccable sense of decorum and tradition. You may intimidate others with your intense demeanour, but they'll look to you for order. Negatively, Caps can come across as pessimistic and hypercritical. If you can figure out how to use the Capricorn influence to your advantage, you could get your foot in almost any door.

Your ascendant isn't what you want to look at. Rising signs only reflect our outward demeanor, it's the first impression that people get from you when they meet you. By the time someone gets to know you well enough to tell you that they like you, the ascendant has very little to do with it. I would look to the moon, venus, and mercury signs of this person. the moon deals with our emotions, venus how we love, and mercury communication. If any of these planets is in a more reserved (meaning less outgoing) sign, or if the moon or venus is in adverse aspect (square or opposed) to mercury, this could indicate someone who was more reserved about communicating their feelings.
Hope that helps :-)

I have Capricorn ascendant and I've always been very selective about who my closest friends are, subconsciously they need to meet certain unique criteria. Cap and Scorp ascendants pretty good blend I'd say, water/earth and the right distance round the zodiacal dial

comparing ascendants here is like comparing the colours of cars to decide which one is more comfortable. the ascendant's got little to do with liking anybody - more like how they come across or are perceived by others, or how they look. anyway, what kind of liking do you mean? mars, venus, sun - they all involve different kinds of liking. mates, lovers, romance, social friends, sports companions etc? you have to be a bit more differentiated imo otherwise you don't arrive at any sense.

you capricorns like your corn, corn is a wonderful substance grown in soil, to soil oneself one the train would be most uncomfortable, uncomfortable expresses uneasiness at a situation, a situation is a position which one finds one self in, in my belly in my big fat belly, fat belly often admited by the larger 'humans' and is caused as a direct result of eating to much rubbish, rubbish a term used to describe someting unlikable, the oposite to liking someone, capricorns, the opposite to liking someone.
