Until recently, my wife and I would anonymously have Food and Toys delivered to family's in need through out the Christmas Season. We would contact various Houses of Worship , regardless of denomination, and have them select those people in need, and if possible their special needs. For example, some might need clothing more then toys or food. A Thousand Dollars can go a long way in helping someone .

A thousand dollars isn't a lot of money. I would buy a ticket to Mexico and vacation for a few days.

I would invest it in what I thought was a sure deal and make more with it. No gambling, investing.
