we may shortly have a chance to see. maybe not

a black man probably stands a better chance of winning the presidency. for this reason ms. clinton is really putting herself on the line. consider, while there may be active rascism in america, comparitively speaking there are really not that many rascists in america; but there are a lot of men opposed to the idea of a woman president.. and there are a lot of women opposed to the idea.

i find it interesting that a relatively undeveloped moslem nation only sixty years old (pakistan) elected a woman as prime minister before america has even elected a woman to the vice presidency.

No prejudice here either, so the question is both irrelevant and beyond speculation. Gender and race are unimportant regarding the presidency.

I do regret the past discriminations which interfered with this process, but encouraging gender and racial competition for the presidency actually undermines our progress in that regard.

Our next president will be the one who is elected according to the provisions established by our laws. Personally, I like Condolezza Rice, and Alan Greenspan, but race and gender are only casual afterthoughts after someone tries to draw my attention to it.

Female in '09 looks the most likely at the moment.
