I have a paddletail newt in a 10 gallon tank, and I was wondering if it would be ok to add a black mysterious snail in with him?

Paddletail newts can be terretorial, so I'm wondering if they'd get along.

It shouldn't be a problem for either of them (as adults). If either lays eggs, the snail will likely eat the newt eggs and the newt might eat any baby snails (the snail eggs are laid out of the water, so the newt probably wouldn't be able to get at them until they hatch and the babies fall into the water). If you use a heater for the newt, the snails will only live around 2-3 years, as compared to around 10 without a heater.
