Try coin collecting. You can do it alone or with a group of people. It doesn't have to cost you a lot. You can go to the bank and pick of a box of coin (whichever denomination you like) for exactly face value. You can go through and pull out the better ones (there are books to help with this or websites).
The coins that you don't want can be returned to the bank and put straight back into your account (though it's often better to return the coins to a different bank (not just a different branch but a different bank) so that you don't search the same boxes over and over).
Some things to search for: wheat pennies, silver dimes, silver quarters, old coins, error coins, etc.

Concerts!
I can't get enough of concerts. And they are much better with a few people.
Just got done seeing Hank 3, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Clutch and Wolfmother!

Video games isolate people. It is rude to have them on when you have company. Get an old fashioned board game. I'm a Trivial Pursuit fan myself, but Monopoly and Scrabble never go out of style. Card games are great, too. The current fad is Texas Hold 'Em.

I agree with Narutoispimp. videos game are great for when you have people over.
and as for the dude who says they isolate people. maybe he should worry about jsut answering the question instead of critizing what people like to do.
how is it rude when everyone who is over likes playing too? not like the person is going to be playing in front of his/her friends and ignoring the others.
