Explain to me the experiences and references of one of the most "honorable and highly decorated Astronauts Gordon Cooper:"
Bio:
http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/Bios/htmlbios/cooper-lg.html
In 1957, Cooper was one of an elite band of test pilots at Edwards Air Force Base in California, in charge of several advanced projects, including the installation of a precision landing system.
"I had a camera crew filming the installation when they spotted a saucer. They filmed it as it flew overhead, then hovered, extended three legs as landing gear, and slowly came down to land on a dry lake bed ! These guys were all pro cameramen, so the picture quality was very good. The camera crew managed to get within 20 or 30 yards of it, filming all the time. It was a classic saucer, shiny silver and smooth, about 30 feet across. It was pretty clear it was an alien craft. As they approached closer it took off."

OK, this dingbat won’t be reading this, but to everyone else, lets get something straight.
A Skeptic is someone who goes against established dogma. It is not established at all that there are aliens visiting this Earth. There is no science to support it.
So, the skeptics are those who think there ARE aliens visiting Earth, because the establishment is pretty clear that there are NO alien visitations.
PS also, the link this dingbat gives is to the NASA site and simply shows biographical data for Cooper. Nothing about UFO sighting.
jeez, people can say anything they like on the internet and half a million people with no interest in researching what they read, take it on board as fact.
Anyone else find that worrying?

by way of fact they're so arrogant that they think of they're the main clever beings interior the universe. information flash, they at the instant are not. If human beings the point of Stephen Hawking, J Allen Hynek, James MacDonald, Bruce Macabbe, and Edgar Mitchell (to call purely some) are confident of the reality of UFOs, then why are those so reported as "experts" attempting to act like they be attentive to what's rather real. As for Mark F's answer, there are distinctive tens of millions of information. they arrive from all walks of existence, astronomers, physicists, pilots (protection tension and civilian), protection tension workers, police, air site visitors controllers, or perhaps American presidents. undertaking Blue e book is barely between the investigations into the region of UFOs by utilising a central authority,

Folks who believe whole-heartedly in ufos may not realize that when you send links like this to those of us who either do not belive, or are on the fence see things in the following way:
First, let me preface this by saying that I have a friend who use to work for the CIA that sends me stuff all the time, and I tell him the same thing as I am going to tell you. He claims to have seen several personally.
Anyway.....what we see when we all receive information like this about ufos is either text from someone we either never heard of or don't know. The validity is as questionable as anything you can imagine.
Or we receive photos.......there is no such thing as a valid photo anymore unless you yourself took it and are looking at it. Anyone else will suspect it's fake.
Or we receive shaky, jittery, blurry videos, which could also be almost anything.
There is so much fraud and fakery out there now that any form of potentially legitimate sources of recording devices is easily faked.
So, like with most things when we get ticked enough times we just instinctively just omit all such info from consideration, unless it is so overwhelmingly convincing that we choose to open up and re-consider our position.
That's all I wanted to say.

Since this guy won't be reading the replies, this is for all of you that answered (whichever way you answered).
Take pity on this poor soul - obviously he (could be a she, I don't know but let's just say "he" since its less letters to type) has no other outlet for his belief. Maybe his friends don't listen anymore.
The link is just to Cooper's bio - perhaps our poor questioner doesn't really know how to express his beliefs coherently.
Maybe he doesn't understand the scientific method and the rigorous requirements to experiment, duplicate, and independantly validate information before it will be generally accepted by the scientific community.
Maybe he's just having a bad day, and felt like letting off a little steam - and what safer place than here where no one knows him, he can remain anonymous, and he can feel superior to all us poor folk that want physical evidence and proof.
Scientists (and that includes us) need to show patience and compassion for the uneducated in our society.

I'll ask you a question. If we were the beings with the advanced technology usually associated with UFOs and we went through all the trouble and expense to develop interstellar space travel. Would we go through all that trouble and then travel to a far away solar system to get there and then hide from everybody? What would be the point?
There are no UFOs and there are no aliens visiting Earth.

This person obviously isn't very familiar with this forum, because most of the argument here tends to be FOR the existence of extraterrestrial life, not against it.
Have a nice day

So, I guess "Explain to me the ..." doesn't really mean what it says, since you're not going to be reading this, anyway.
Ok then. Just so we're clear on that.

There are lots of real UFO sightings... UFO stands for unidentified flying object... doesn't always mean they are beings from outer space... they are just unidentified ! I've seen things flying that I couldn't identify... so I guess you are right... there are real UFOs out there !
