walked around pushing an ice cream cart? It had a row of silver bells that he rang by hand. I'll never forget the sound of those bells! I miss that!

Yes....I also remember the "Popcorn Lady". She had a popcorn booth in the small park just off Michigan Ave in Jackson when I was a girl. It was the only place I knew where you could get theater popcorn without going to the movies!

Well, that was a little before my time I think, however, I did have a icecream truck that toured our neighborhood with the ding ding ding.....I can remember the excitement that that truck would generate as he would come down the street at 5 miles an hour, giving everyone a chance to run home, grab a quarter, or 50 cents if you were really lucky and then racing back to the truck, as to not be last in line. Wow, thanks for the question I havent visited those memories in quite a while!!!!

Smiles :)

I remember! It would be sitting at the corner of our street. But it seemed like in the afternoon is when it would come down the street! This reminds me of back when we had NO air conditioning! No one knew what air-conditioning was! We would be sitting on our porch, talking to the neighbors. Sweating our heads off! Then the ice cream man would come! I was a little young for that but do remember! And the good humor man too! Bring it Back!

I remember an ice cream man that sold out of a bin on the front of his bicycle but he didn't have bells. He had a horn that made an ooga sound.
