I see people stating more and more often on the news that the 'Surge' is succeeding. And that has been responded with more and more talk about how wrong the war is and how we are going to lose, the usual, but more of it. Seems to me an almost perfect relationship between the two. As more and more people good news comes out of Iraq, there will be more and more criticizing of the Surge. As if people are not happy the Surge is being effective.

I do not believe, nor do I state, that being anti-war is being anti-American.

There are a lot of people who have a vested interest in our losing this war. A lot of people, in our own country, who do not want military success of any kind. These people would be happy if we had no armed forces. There are a bunch of people in this country who hate this country and would like to see it fall. More than anyone cares to admit. They adore socialism and hate capitalism and well America is the last stalwart, in the western world that holds dear to our Capitalist Democracy that fights the socialist invasion.

This is not to say that if you are anti-war you are anti-America, but all anti-Americans are anti-American war powers so it is easy to mix them up. The ones that truly hate this country will never support our military even in an invasion and they march hand-in-hand with those simpletons that just are anti-war. So it is easy to make the correlation.

And next month? or next year or two years from now? How much time is needed to understand that conventional warfare does not work on an ideological situation, especially one as complicated as Iraq? Besides, how much money do you think we have. The now tripled debt that we have is causing money to be printed by the FED just to keep us going. And don't you think if we really wanted to this country could not be defended against all who tried to destroy it?

certainly...as people turn up the volume to discredit the pelosi/reid regime about the ridiculous concept of cut and run the volume on liberal spin and whine gets louder...what did you expect. the war isnt defeatist except to out of control liberals who are looking to justify their presence aka the harry reid unilateral surrender whine.

Both of those people are currently on a road trip in their RV.....after Labor Day they'll be back...meanwhile you're just going to have to either find something just as dumb to worry about, or just take a break. Don't worry...be happy!

so when Petrarus reports military successes and total political failure...(remember, he said political success is necessary to succeed in Iraq)...will you analyze that as "defeatist" or "patriotic"?
