Where I work at we help instructors set up their online courses. We give the instructors 2 complimentary training sessions that last about 1.5 hrs. They receive an instructors manual However, after they go through the training sessions the instructors are on their own. This one particular instructor thought that we were supposed to set up her class every semester and that's not how it works. She would wait till the last hour(literally)and say she didn't understand how to use her online course and that she needed help setting it up. Now mind you she has been teaching online classes for 2 years. Anyway, I get a call from her. She is screaming and crying on the phone saying she hates online courses she will never use it again. She also says that she has one hour to turn in her lesson plans. So I told her to let me call her back in 10mins because I need to contact my manager. So I get contact with my manager and I tell him the story. He gets so pissed off tells me...

"You should've passed her some tissue." He was like she does this every semester and I tell her we DO NOT set up courses for instructors. My boss then said give me her number so I can talk to her because I'm sick of her $h!t. LOL

Two little words..

Hang...up.

For one, I am an instructor. For two, I design online learning. For three, I don't let myself be victimized. Politely tell her she's on her own and to have a nice day. If she wants to talk to someone else, she can contact your manager. Then say...goodbye.

Your job is not your life.

Yes in the pharmacy, there was this one customer who decided to try and renew her prescription as she was on her way to catch a flight out of the country. I told her it had to be called in by her Doctor, who had already left for the day, when I told her she couldn't get her medicine she started to cuss me out. I just walked away, I'm the boss in my pharmacy!!
