Whites get washed in hot water with bleach, you can use powder or liquid bleach. to dry them for on timed dry (normal setting) for 30 to 40 minutes, they should be dry by then.
for light and dark color, blue jeans, towels, you wash in either cold or warm water. and again timed dry.
for knit deletics you have a setting on washer for it, use it and wash in cold water. I air dry by hanging them outside on my deck on in my rafters on the deck on hanger that is on a nail.
hope this helps

I always wash my clothes in cold water and use a quality soap and colour safe bleach and a spoon of Oxy - 5 with great results...
As far as drying your cottons?
Anything made of quality cotton has shrunk all its gonna do after its first wash, so whatever heat setting you want to use is up to you...medium heat if you're not in a rush to go anywhere is probly best for long term life of your items tho... :)
Hope this helps you.

use cool dryer setting...or your clothes will wrinkle like crazy!
as for the washer... I use cool water washand rinse... I don't get my clothes really dirty, just know they need to be cleaner!
I think this also helps with less wrinkles.
