I was AT that game.
I took a picture of the scoreboard before the 'quake and got that picture blown up into a 20" x 30" poster... which I took the better part of the next decade getting signed by as many A's & Giants as I could.
I included the starting line ups, pitching staff, bullpen, managers, coaches, general managers, broadcasters (including the three guys on ABC)
At one point at spring training a kid asked me if I was trying to get Barry Bonds autograph on it, and I said "no." He asked "what if Barry wanted to sign it?" My response was "No, not even if he asked. Barry played for the Pirates that season."

Bonds was with the Pirates in 1989, and they did not play on into October.
The Loma Prieta earthquake struck on 17-Oct-1989, shortly before the scheduled start of Game 3 of the World Series.

Not very likely. He didn't join the Giants until 1993. If the Pirates were visiting that day you're chances increase dramatically.
