the appointment time.

I make an appointment for 1:00 PM

i get there at 1 o clock exactly

i wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room. 1:20

Then, the nurse calls my name. and leads me into this room, and says "someone will be with you shortly" 1:25

I wait for "someone" for 10 minutes 1:35

A girl comes and looks me up and down. writes somethig down, and askes me whats wrong. on her way out, she says the doctor will be here momentarily. 1:50

I wait for the Doctor. 2:15

The Doctor finally comes. But no, only to tell me that he will be right with me. 2:20

I keep waiting. 2:35

he FINALLY comes in. i made an appointment for 1. its 2:35 and hes only comeing in for the first time!!!!

he examins me. i tell him whats wrong. and he fills me out a perscription. 3:00

drive home 3:15.

It took 2 HOURS for an appointment i made for 1.

I say, "My back hurts." What is the first thing they want to do?! Press on it to see if it hurts!!!

Yes, it hurts. No, I'm not lying. Yes it will cause me to react if you touch it.

The other thing I hate is, as you've said, they don't seem to know the meaning of the word "appointment" and freely show up late and/or cancel them. If you're over 15 min. late or cancel same-day they charge you extra. We should get the same respect! We pay for their Ferraris and mansions after all!

I hate when I show up on time for an appointment and still have to wait an hour.

When they look at me but don't see me.
When they talk to me like I'm 12 and stupid.
When they assume because I'm fat, I have bad eeting habits.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE someone, with my medical records in front of them, and eyes in their heads, telling me to take a walk. A non-medically-trained person can look at my ankles and know that taking a walk is not an option, but I have had TWO doctors recently tell me to walk for exercise. In spite of the fact that I came in with a walker (the aluminum cage thingy) and needed it. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I had to wait almost an hour for my appointment for a pap smear. I almost walked out, but didn't want to have to get psyched up to come back another day.

when they try to stick there finger up your butt and try to calm you down after you've jumped off the table to get away with the explanation that it's all part of the "full" exam! they could pre-warn you and save everyone concerned the hassle, cause that place is for exits only as far as I'm concerned!☺

One told me I had lung cancer and then told me 4 days later they were wrong. Another told me I wouldn't live to see my son graduate - he graduates in 2 years and I feel fine!

I hate that they say things that they really shouldn't be saying without first thinking of the effect their words have on others.

I hate it when we have to wait and then the doctor does nothing to help you get better

I hate the fact that if you are sick on Wednesday, they can't see you until a week from next Monday. Ugh.
