workers comp dr. says nothing is wrong with my husbands knee's "quote" you have knee's of a young man! lol ya ok!
so husband went to get second opinion and dr says his knee's are shot.
We are looking into getting a third opinion. If the third opinion comes back the same as the second Im wondering if we should we contact a lawyer for a possible lawsuit against the dr? How the heck can a dr say nothing is wrong if something is wrong?
opinions please
thank you

He is a tile layer and yes it is work related he is on his knee's most of the time when at work and no there is no other past medical issues with his knee's.And my question was not about the work comp themself but about the doctor that gave false information .
My question is, is it possible to sue a dr that is related to workcomp for giving false information. Im not 100% certain that he knows about my husbands knee's being bad but I can say that it is a little odd that the 2nd dr. says they are shot and considering the pain he is in I would have to agree. The work comp dr took xrays and said he has knee's of a young man, so no
I guess no MRI from that dr but yes from the 2nd dr. Maybe we cant sue but there has to be somewhere that I can report this dr's practices habbits.

Go with your instinct and get a 3rd opinion before contacting a lawyer.

So...give us more info...how was your husband injured on the job? Has he had an MRI?

Let me be the first to tell you that getting a lawyer involved won't solve anything. All they will do is end up with a good chunk of your settlement money that work comp provides when your husband reaches MMI (maximum medical improvement).

Give us more info about his injury...because if it is indeed work related...that's a different story. However, if his knees are found to have pre-existing or chronic condition..this may not be covered under work comp.

Good luck. When my father hurt his back on the job (Floorlayers Union), worker's comp sent him to 4 different doctors before they actually paid for and compensated him. Each one said it would require surgery to fix and he would be unable to work until it was fixed. He was barely able to walk and in tremendous pain for over 8 months. My parents should have got a lawyer, but didn't. Definitely get the third appointment and then get the lawyer.

Why would workers comp come into play with worn out knees, workers comp is for injuries incurred at work, not for knees that wear out. If you can prove they are work related then get a lawyer!~!

workmans`comp always says nothing is wrong.continue seeing other doctors for same diagnosis as second dr.and keep insisting that it is a work related injury.

Remember the first doctor is being paid to say your husband is okay.

Forget lawsuits, get them fixed under your health insurance coverage.
