When was your last visit with a jehovah's Witness, how long did they visit and how did it go?

Nearly every lay-minister of Jehovah's Witnesses is typically prepared for at least three different levels of involvement at a typical initial call. The Witness derives personal satisfaction from any witnessing work, but feels a particular sense of accomplishment with any of these three, and is generally content to move on if it seems best after just the first or just the second level of interaction.

1. Establish that his motives for the visit are godly. Use the name Jehovah or Jehovah's Witnesses if at all possible.

2. Direct attention to some bible thought, preferably reading an actual verse with the householder. Establish that divine wisdom is best, or at least worth considering.

3. Share the "good news of the kingdom" for as long as it seems productive with the householder. Sow the seeds for a future visit.

Well not often and they don't stay long as I also am a Witness:D Ususally when I see someone the stay is about 3 minutes long. Depends on the Witness and the person at the door.

^They used to knock on my door at least once a week, I never opened the door, I would just tell them I'm not interested and they would leave, the last time they knocked I told them I was a Pagan and to please leave, they mumbled something and left that was over 20 years ago.

I don't have a problem with any ones religion, everyone can practice whatever they want, but don't tell me yours is the only truth and unless I believe as you do I won't go to heaven.

Years ago. Don't remeber how many. The meeting didn't take too long. I opened the door, they said they were with the Jehovahs Witnesses, and I slammed the door shut.

My best friend is a Jehovah's Witness. Saw her about a 2 months ago when school got out. We stay in school for a bout 8 hours, so I guess it was that long. And it went good, because she is my best friend...I enjoy spending time with her. I can't wait to see her when school starts!!! =)

I let them into the house once, many years ago. The conversation went absolutely nowhere, they must have been there for an hour before we had to agree to disagree. On EVERYTHING.

Nowadays, I think it's just better to visit the apologetics sites if you're going to entertain thoughts of dialogue with other religions.

I usually end up doing all the talking and they end up running away from me. Also, I now work with one and I am teaching him, also. Did you see the last paper they left with Jesus with short hair. He has always been shown with long hair but I guess they don't like hippies or something and gave him a hair cut. Now, Jesus is a preppie.

The moment I ask for an equal time agreement they usually leave. When they do agree, I quietly listen to them for five minutes, then I point out I want five minutes will they please be quiet. If they keep talking or interrupt, I explain the verbal assault criminal laws and that I have recorded everything since they came to the door. . . you're right, I intensely dislike them.

a month ago, they wanted to chat with me but i said i do not have the time now. via the doorway intercom Then they ask me to if they can leave me some leaflets in my mailbox. I said sure go ahead. Wich i throwed away with all the junkmail
