No. They are behind too many teams.

At this point, their hitting is no longer the problem. The number of games remaining and the number of teams ahead of them is all that matters. And those numbers are stacked against the dodgers.

No, they won't make the playoffs. They've been on a terrible losing streak and have averaged less than 3 runs per game during that stretch. They needed to bring in a big bat at the trading deadline, but they didn't. You can't win games if you can't score any runs.

Also, they have the Diamondbacks and Padres ahead of them, so they will have to play catch-up to even make the wildcard, which will probably come from the East.

Unfortunately, no. I was hoping they would because I'd love a chance to see the Mets in the playoffs, but that won't happen unless they come to L.A. :(
