Who sent the Howler to Petunia? And what did it mean "Remember my last, Petunia"?
I'm rereading it this summer and I can't for the life of me remember who sent it. I would just continue reading but I have to read required reading books for school now since my school starts in less than a month.
Pleas and thank you.

The Howler was sent by Dumbledore. "The last" was the letter Dumbledore left together with Harry on the doorstep at Privet Dr. when Harry's parents were killed. It explained about the deaths of Lily and James, and that as long as Harry remains in their home he is magically protected by Voldemort. Dumbledore just reminded Petunia that they mustn't throw Harry out of the house, at least not until his seventeenth birthday when the protection stops.

Dumbledore sent it. Because since Harry cameback with Dudley being demented, Vernone Dursley said THATS IT! HE'S OUT! and Petunia agreed. then when harry was about to leave, he got a letter from Arthur saying he had to stay. THen Petunia got a howler from dumbledore. what that means: Remember my last, petunia? is that Dumbledpre must've talked to her before this. So if he did, then he probably explained how he has to stay at Number four privet drive. Cus of the protection that his mother gavehim before he died.

It was Dumbledore. When he first left Harry at Petunia's doorstep, he left a note telling her that Harry must stay there until he is of-age. Dumbledore used an ancient magic to protect him while he was under their roof. At that moment, Harry was being kicked out. If he had left, he would have been in danger. Dumbedore explained to Harry that he felt Petunia needed some reminding due to the recent events (like the dementor attack).

Dumbledore. At the end of the book Harry figures it out and Dumbledore told him that after Dudley was attacked by the dementors (because he was with Harry when they showed up) he--Dumbledore--figured Petunia may need a reminder that Harry needs to stay in the Dursley house.

Dumbledore. Dumbledore tells Harry after Dudley was attacked by the dementors. Dumbledore thought Petunia needed a reminder that Harry needed to stay in Dursley.

it was dumbledore, he was reminding petunia of his last letter which was the one left with harry on the dursleys doorstep it explained what had happened and that he had placed magic on the house so that as long as harry was there he could not be harmed by voldemort. petunia was reminded that she couldnt let harry leave because he was safe there but not elsewhere and she stopped vernon from kicking him out.

Dumbledore.
He first wrote to her when he left Harry on her doorstep explaining the charm/enchantment on the Lily Potters sacrifice and how her blood relation to harry would protect him until he comes to age
