I'm enrolled in a massage therapy course and I received a massage from another student on my foot. She had missed the previous class and made the mistake of massaging away from the heart on the top of the foot. Now my some of the veins on the top of my foot pop up when I'm standing and my foot keeps falling asleep - so she definitely blew out some of the valves.

My question: Is there any chance of this healing itself?

I spoke with the doctor who runs the school and he said that when possible to keep it elevated and that it should heal within a month or so. Can anyone confirm this?

Im sure he knows better than any of us on Yahoo answers. But I would still make an appointment with your personal doctor just to be on the safe side.

Good luck.
