i plan on buying a cheap Emachines computer to play nothing but World of Warcraft since the computer i have now is really close of being completely useless. theres a hardware problem but the whole entire thing is practically messed up anyway

would this be able to run world of warcraft with little or no lag?

also, i plan on NOT using Windows Vista and have nothing but the internet and WoW on here

as for music, i have a ton of cds, and a ipod with speakers so im good.

i was also reading whats required from the WoW box and everything seems correct, this Emachine looks like it has just about enough to run WOW, my currecnt computer is about the same but older, its a 2001 HP and really messed up atm. and it 'does' lag a little when in major cities and such, and ive gotten used to it

what i dont want it MAJOR lag like wherever i go i lag constantly. thats my main question, if i will lag almost anywhere i go, or just very minimul lag like right now my computer has

That is a good BUSINESS DESKTOP but a LOUSY gaming PC. Its integrated graphics is slow for games and it will "steal" part of system RAM. Low remaining RAM further degrades overall PC performance.

You would need to add a graphics card to improve that PC's 3D performance. The full 512Mb becomes available for the system but 2x512Mb would be great.

I think you won't be happy with this eMachine. It uses a very low end processor and has just enough RAM to get Windows Vista running. So, as far the lag......you will more lag then ever before.

It will lag some. You might want to get more memory for it. It is no power house, but it might work. Make sure you turn all the extra features off on Vista if it has it. It will speed up some then.

it should be fine except you mght want to get a video card for it. if you are going to use windows xp or something else 1 gig of ram should suffice
