Queen Elizabeth the Second. Can you believe how few Americans are aware how parliamentary democracy works?

When there is no monarch the President is the head of state (as in France and Germany) while the Premier or Prime Minister actually runs the government.

Tony Blair. Although, I'm not sure if Brits consider the queen your symbolic head of state. And I'm sure you confused a great many of my fellow American citizens when you reffered to your country as the U.K. They probably think that the U.K. is part of the former Soviet Union, or possibly a jungle somewhere in the depths of Africa.....
