Poll: when your computer dies or goes down, who do you have to fix it?

I wonder how many people can fix their computers themselves, or do you call a repair person to fix it? If you do, how much does that person charge you? When do you finally call someone to help?

I have a friend who fixes computers for the Dept of public safety. I just call him and he fixes it for free. I finally call him when all else fails!

i fix it myself -

the only time i solicited outside support was once when my laptop hard drive got dropped (not by me) and needed the heads unstuck from the platters - a friend who used to do that as a job did it for me in an hour -

I watched him so when it happened again (to a different laptop - not mine) I fixed it myself

my computer was built by someone i know so when it breaks (rarely) i call him to fix it. he charges about $50 an hour. but it's normally something small so i never had to pay!

My daughter boy friend fix it last time but it is costly to have some one do it and I used hers but if they where not here I would have cost me a few hundred

Well, um, when my computer has like a virus,
or whatever, my dad is an attorney,
and his whole office has this guy who works
on computers, so he just comes out and fixes
it, for a cheap fair. He's cool, his name is Bill,
I believe.

My home computer has been busted for about 6 months now. I only use my work one.

I fix it myself....my old one gave me lots of experience! If it dies, I buy another one.

She probably feels like the Queen of your bed until you get up to use the restroom then she takes your chair and feels like she's the Queen of the chair
