I cannot get the link to work

It states it is a 50 ft CAT6 cable; This would make it an ethernet patch cable. It does not indicate whether it is a straight or cross cable and you need to make sure you select the proper one. Linking devices to a switch normally takes a straight cable; linking to a WAN port of a router often takes a cross cable - so check that carefully.

The link failed but if it is CAT6 then yes it is an Ethernet cable.

It is indeed an Ethernet cord, its usually used for high speed internet conncections
