Hey, is it possible to run a program situated in a different directory?

As long as you know where the directory is.

For example, you can execute the Bourne shell (sh) by specifying just the name and letting the shell pick it up from your $PATH:

sh

Or you can specify the entire path:

/bin/sh

... same thing happens in either case.
