i don't know how you can be completely thoughtless. if you were, you'd be thinking about being thoughtless and that's still a thought. i'm not sure if you can be thoughtless in your sleep. i mean, sometimes you don't dream right? you just seem to black out or something. or when you DO black out! you don't really think of much then...

No, we are always thinking, even if its not at a conscious level. No matter how much you try and clear your mind, thought patterns will still be passing through you, through neurons and nerves. So even if you believe yourself to be thoughtless, subconscious thoughts will be constantly there.

like the last guy said, no matter how empty your mind is, your sub is constantly maken sure youralive, which means ur thinking, so the only way to stop thinking, is to die

well i see what ur saying and i agree. I think that when someone says that though, they are speaking about making hastily made decisions; speaking before one thinks about what they are saying.
