Why would you want to do that? The space between the pontoons is what gives a pontoon boat it's stability and smooth ride. A pontoon boat with a wave coming from the side, alows the crest of the wave to pass between the pontoons and keeps the boat from rocking. If you put another pontoon in that space your boat is gonna rock and roll.

That would defeat the purpose of having a pontoon boat...

There are two pontoons for stability, while allowing less drag, so the boat will actually move fairly easily. Adding a third would not increase stability, but will add some significant drag, meaning you would also need to invest in a larger motor.

You can add a pontoon because some come with three.
It may not be cost efficient.
If carrying extra weight is why you need it, you might want to consider trading for one already equipped with three.

I have built boats with three pontoons.You would have to widen the deck and liner thow

Yes but you have to balance it as to not go back to interfere with the Engine or it will cavitate.An not to big around.
