I think ESPN is the better option, especially now that they offer free live scoring and access to all their draft tools, while Yahoo is charging $125 for a plus league.
In the past, I've also had far more problems with Yahoo's Stattracker than with ESPN live scoring.

ESPN's draft application is better, but be warned: they follow the rankings to a T if you're autodrafting. One of my friends was late to a draft and had 7 running backs and no one else.
I prefer Yahoo's in-season gameplay to ESPN's. The ESPN free agent/roster move setup is way more complicated than Yahoo's.
However, ESPN does throw in the scoring, which you can't ignore.
I'd say Yahoo right now, but that's influenced by my bitterness over the ESPN fantasy baseball debacle earlier this year. I'm not going to trust them for a while.

Yahoo all the way. They don't hound you to pay for everything like ESPN does, plus they have a nice live draft program.
