i know this may sound like the dumbest question but I have to know for sure. Are the members of the village people gay? Or are the just REALLY REALLY camp?

All gay, all the time. One of them pretended to be str8 for awhile but got on drugs and was arrested and realized that it wasn't worth hiding behind the shield. That's a hint, by the way. Now go run and look at their picture and you'll know which one I am talking about.

The only gay man in the (Original) village people was the guy dressed as the American Indian the rest were straight.
Not that it matters as they sang an iconic party song, that is great fun for all to dance to.!

they were certainly marketed to gay men. every single one of their songs is about being gay, i kid you not, check it out.
i saw them in concert in the late 70's. with gloria gaynor (i will survive) opening.
now if you're asking if they are gay in real life or just playing a part, like the backstreet boys did, then i don't know. but does it matter? it was camp, but not just camp, it was definitely gay-themed.

well they are either gay or have a great sense of humour but not axtually they did sing in the navy and the ywca so the could be gay or just pulling r leg no i think they are gay

They were gay. Possibly gay men who dated and had sexual relationships with women, but poofs all the same. Why do you need to know anyway? Does your son or daughter object to having gay musicians played at their birthday party?

All but one was gay when the group was formed. But then he made a mistake and tried it. He is now a happy camper.

They were homosexuals as far as the market was concerned no one's sure. They could be bi or one of them could be straight and doing it for the money. Who knows except them?
