Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy... triology of five! By, Douglas Adams. Amazing reads you'll love em. Action, comedy, adventure, si fi and they really make you think. Their an easy read too. I really have no idea about the books that you mentioned... however the person above me was suggesting books kinda along the lines of HGTTG... atleast vaguely. Read em you'll love em.
