Hi!
I cannot...
Luckily he gets a Fred of his own at the end :)
Did you know?
He names his son Fred. :)
JK Rowling said it on an interview:
"""Camille: How is George getting along without his twin?
J.K. Rowling: Well, I don’t think that George would ever get over losing Fred, which makes me feel so sad. However, he names his first child and son Fred, and he goes on to have a very successful career, helped by good old Ron."""

Goodluck!

yes, it has been mentioned that George names his first son Fred and that Ron helps him in the joke shop. This comes directly from the webchat with jk which I have saved in microsoft word but it is also on the mugglenet website under deathly hallows then latest news then scroll down and find the webchat.

That is the only problem I had with the book, we do not find out what happens to most of the surviving characters. This is especially true when wondering about what they went on to do. The only one that is mentioned in the book is Neville who becomes Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts. In interviews JK stated that Harry and Ron became Aurors and went on to revolutionize the department. Hermoine also went to work for the Ministry and became head of her department (cannot remember what it was). JK also said that Ron helped George with the joke shop so perhaps he moonlighted there. I agree with her though in stating that George would never get over the loss of his twin especially because they were so close. I would imagine though that George would want to continue the shop simply because it would help keep Fred's memory alive. I hope that if she does write anything more about the wizarding world it contains information on what happened to all of the main surviving characters. For example, I would love to know who was Headmaster at Hogwarts 19 years later. Well, we can only hope that something will come out in the not too distant future.

I know how you feel. It's horrible; twins should never be seperated. However, JK Rowling said in this webchat...
Camille: How is george getting along without his twin
J.K. Rowling: Well, I don't think that George would ever get over losing Fred, which makes me feel so sad. However, he names his first child and son Fred, and he goes on to have a very successful career, helped by good old Ron.

Which did give me a little bit of closure, but was still sad.

Ron goes on to help George in the shop, until Ron moves on to become an auror like Harry. George can manage to run the shop on his own; also, he has a new Fred in his life. J. K. Rowling says that George names his son Fred after his late brother.

"Although not mentioned in the novel, Rowling said in a web chat that George never does fully get over Fred's death. However, he does go on with his life, turning Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes into a "money spinner" with Ron. George later names his first child and son after his twin, although we don't know who he married or how many children there were."

I too can't imagine George without Fred, but the shop will be run by ONE twin with ONE ear, and his brother Ron with TWO ears :D

The thought of George being without Fred makes me sick.
JKR did not have to kill off Fred and let all the Malfoys live. To me, she just had to hurt the fans. I guess she had a good laugh about it.
