The reason they got rid of it is because they sold the property. The former wet n wild is the home site of new high rise condos. That go for a miniumum of 2 mil.

There have been many rumors about building a new water park in the greater las vegas valley. The closet thing is they are building one in RENO... Other than that you still have Raging Waters to go to in So. CAL.

If it brings in pleasure to mind. Disneyland has bought over 180 acres of land in Pahrump last year. So that should be interesting. Only time will tell.

Wet n Wild was closed to make way for a hotel called Vegas Towers Paul Lowden owned the property and leased it to the water park. Wet n Wild closed in 2005. Closing day of Wet n Wild there was a sign that said they would be back in 2 years. But, no word yet if they will actually reopen and if they do reopen where. The property was then sold in the summer of 2006 but according to http://vegastodayandtomorrow.com it is still to be Vegas Towers

$$$$$$$$$$ is the reason for closing the property. Strip property is selling for $$ that you can't even imagine. They are going to build a water park off the strip and I am pretty sure it will be an indoor park so it will get more use year round.

They're building a HUGE one that's going to have an indoor/outdoor water park and even snow sports!

I think they sold the other one because the property was more valuable to casinos and they knew they could do the same thing further off the Strip.
