There are many publishers that publish non fiction, however the procedure for publishing non fiction is slightly different from fiction. When you send in a query, you will generally be asked to include a book proposal. It is not as commonly used in fiction but it is absolutely essential in non-fiction. There are several books out there that teach you how to write a good book proposal. A book proposal is a very specific document. It details the target markets, compares your work to others in the genre, gives concepts for marketing strategies etc, It is an absolutely necessary tool in the world of non-fiction and is becoming more important in fiction all the time. Grab one of these books and start studying it. Your book proposal is the tool your agent (or you if you haven't got an agent) uses to sell your work to a publisher. It is what convinces them of the potential of the book. I think one book is called How To Write a Winning Book Proposal. There are several - get one and learn the techniques. Pax - C

What precisely is genuine? in case you get exhilaration from the thought that something in any respect is genuine evaluate this. whether you're touching a penny, the sensation of the penny on your dermis is undergone fairly some synapses, the advice is interpreted by employing your suggestions, etc. etc. So, are you relatively touching the penny, or do you purely become responsive to which you're touching the penny... The writing exists, and so it relatively is genuine. Fiction and Non-Fiction often come from the comparable place: adventure. There are some very useful Fiction works that could desire to knock your socks off. there are a number of 'Non-Fiction' works that could desire to make you shiver with disgust (i wish They Serve Beer in Hell, case in point). in simple terms because of the fact it relatively is categorized as F or Non-F you may no longer purely push aside it. psychological stimulation would not come maximum suitable from 'genuine' writings, because of the fact that is all 'genuine', you purely choose for to stick to labels. psychological stimulation comes maximum suitable from psychological masturbation: attempting to augment your adventure and know-how by using something new! Do you want to try to make money or just have others read it? Helium.com is a place where you can put your stories online, and others will read it. They say you get paid, but from my experience you get like 2 cents an article/story, so its not really worth it for just the money, but if you want some place where people will read it that's a good place to start.
There's also a website where you can publish your own books or ebooks, called Lulu.com. They set an amount of profit they make, and you set how much profit you want to make, and the total plus costs is the cost of the book. Pretty cool, huh?
I hope this helps!

Allow me to offer two pieces of advice. One: Stay away from Publish America.
Two: Go to AbsoluteWrite.com and check their resources for people accepting non fiction and what the guidelines are.
Those two things right there will help immensely. Utilize their Background checks and Predators and Editors section as well.
Good luck!

Your best bet would be to find magazines or online websites that allow you to publish your work. However, if you want to actually publish it, make sure your book is actually novel-sized, doesn't have to be, though. And get Writer's Market, it is a book with the best answers!!

Look in Writer's Market '08. There's a huge market out there for non-fiction. Also, there are detailed instructions on how to submit works for publication.
