because they honestly want to get to the bottom of our issues....or are they asking because they want to cause trouble...
ex: why do black people do this...why do white people act like this...etc...
what do you think?

It kind of depends on what the question is. For example, if a white woman asked a black woman, "Why do black women not like to get their hair wet?" (or something like that) than they're probably only asking because they're curious. However, if they make a generalization like, "Why do black people steal?" then they're just making trouble. You kind of have to try and judging if they're saying it in an insulting way.

Occasionally, there are some genuine questions from people who honestly don't know and are trying to learn. You can tell by the way the question is worded.

Sadly, these questions pop up very infrequently. Most of the time, the person asking is trying to start trouble.

It all depends on the details of the question and how it's worded. Some people genuinely want to know. Most, unfortunately, just want to cause trouble.

I tend to avoid questions that start with "Why do *insert race/ethnic group* do *insert activity*?" because 9 times out of 10, the person asking just wants to cause trouble.

To some extent I agree with hiya and evan. However, this white male is sometimes just curious about the culture of groups. What causes some sub-cultures to behave/react differently than others? I'm usually hesitant to ask because of getting flamed by non-white racists.

They are bored and looking to stir something up. At least that is what they do on here. If you wanna get to the bottom of something, go to the source. I have a wide enough variety of friends that don't get offended with questions, so I just ask them...

It just goes to show that the whole world would be a lot better without ignorant people droning over disadvantages of other races. Yahoo would be a lot better without them and should do whatever possible to remove them.

i think we really want to know
so we can stop being so irritated
we hope if we can understand and find a reason we
can relate to we can stop hating them for acting so wierd
like when any colr men say things to me and i ignore them and then they start cussing at me.
or when any color women are always talking in a loud rude voice
its not all but those who do make it hard for everyone
cause we really just want to make it through this life in peace and beauty and when someone disrupts that, it really doesn't matter what color they are, you just want to understand so maybe you can cut them a little slack and have peace

They're trying to start trouble. You think they really care about other races?
