Are you using formula? Sounds like he is allergic to the kind that you are using. Or, is this something that has just come on and you think it's because he is sick??

How is he acting in general?

Is he wailing like there's no tomorrow? Is he as limp as a wet noodle? Have you gotten a wet diaper from him in the last 4 hours? If the answer to any of these questions is NO, consult his doctor immediately.

Otherwise, I would consider this: is it projectile-like vomiting? That could be reflux. His doctor can prescribe a medication to treat it, and he'll outgrow it by about the time he's a year old. OR is it just a LOT of spit up? How frequently are you burping him? Are you waiting until he finishes the whole bottle? If you are, try burping him after every ounce or two. If he's swallowing air, anything that's on top of that air bubble is going to come up when he burps.

This happened alot with my daughter and we were forever at the hospital with her. Turns out that babies dont in fact throw it all back up it just looks that way, i can understand tho why you think it's the whole lot. Anyway babies may throw up some of their bottle but they keep so much of it back so they dont starve themselves. The only thing i would get worried about is making sure he isn't/doesn't get dehydrated and to do this simply take his hand or foot and GENTLY pinch his skin, if it doesn't return back to it's normal colour almost right a way and stays pale, that is a sign that he's dehydrated and needs medical attention.
In the meantime you could always give him a drop of cooled boiled water little but often to prevent dehydration until you seek medical advise if you think you need to.
Hope this has helped you and dont worry he'll be ok before you no it

If you are using formula make sure that it the correct one for your baby's age as they do differ. You should also check the measurements you are using in his bottles. Also make sure that the baby's bottle is given a good shake before you feed him. Are you burping your baby at regular intervals through the feed.

If you are feeding from the breast the burping bit will still apply but your baby may be having a reaction to breast milk.

At the end of the day you are the baby's mother and if you feel that everything is not right discuss it with your health visitor or doctor.

Don't start to worry right now. I have a 10 month old and he had the same problem. It's called acid reflux. What you do is feed your precious baby smaller amounts at a time but more often. Make sure he burps good and keep him sitting up upright for at least 30 min-1 hour. That should help you mama!

It is normal for babies to vomit after a bottle (neither of my sons did, but my daughter did after every feed) but being a mum of 3 my best advice to you is to trust your instincts. if you think he's too warm and he may be ill then seek medical advice. I would also not worry about him getting enough food, he'll eat (or drink as the case maybe) when he's hungry.

You can call NHS24 at any time to ask for advice. If you are worried at all, give them a call. Babies can give you a fright when they seem to vomit so much and all babies are different. The only worry is that babies can dehydrate quite quickly. Maybe if its hot where you are (its cold here) your baby was thirsty rather than hungry and needed water rather than milk. Hope he's feeling better soon.

i would get medical advice just to be safe

also other things is could be are

check your steralising unit
make double sure that you are making up the mil correctly and not using too much powder.
always used boiled water to make the feeds up and allow to cool normally
dont use milk thats been out for more than 1hr. if its any older than 1hr bin it and get a fresh bottle

however on the safe side, because the temp is up a little i would consult a doctor

Talk to your health visitor, it may be something as simple as your baby is taking in to much air when he's sucks on the teat of the bottle, or it could be because of a allergy to the formula. I would get it checked though.

Oh you poor thing. My son was a nightmare, he used to projectile vomit most of his bottles - it was rare for him not to but my health visitor prescribed something called infacol which stopped it from happening - the stuff works miracles!

I would phone the doctor to get advice. Dont worry too much if he is off his bottles - his temperature is high but not dangerously (maybe if he is off colour, dont try to cram him with too much milk in case he is finding it too heavy and maybe try boiled water that has been cooled instead, to keep his fluids up)

Please seek medical advice in the meantime.
