You don't decide where you start. The talent agent is the industry professional, not you.
If the agent thinks you are better suited for industrials, print, spokesperson, or other areas, that is where the agent will submit you.
The agent may think you have no talent to work in film, tv, movies, etc. Your respsonsibility is to do a good audition and book the job.

Trust me girl. Commercials are fine. Im doing Commercials 2 :P Then hopefully we'll move onto something bigger like a TV show or a movie. It depends if you do good in your audition. Good luck :) and put your head into it.

My son luckily started off with a segment on a show on A&E, then did a commercial, then an independent film. We were lucky to have gotten work so quick with no experience.

Too big. You need to start in plays at school or at your local theatre. Then once you've built up a resume, find a talent agent. Then they'll put you in bigger production plays, then commercials, then hopfully movies.
Good Luck!

Too big. The best acting jobs in the world. Have to have an agent to get one. So what are you learning in acting school, if they are not teaching you how to start your career? Want to know how? Click on my name and read my profile and write to me at my aol address.

It's incredibly difficult to get a paid acting job of any kind. There are thousands of people who are trying their hearts out.
Most never even get one job. You said "when I finish acting school." There is no end to learning about acting. Famous people still take classes. I think you are in this to make money. If that's your plan I'd suggest lottery tickets. You have to be in it for the love of the craft and not the money.
