I'm looking for good acting schools in Southern California (preferrably LA) for kids and teens that are not summer programs because I do not want to wait until next summer to go to acting school and wait even longer to start acting. My goal is to start acting by spring or at least by next fall. Any schools I should go to?

If you mean acting professionally you have to realize that it takes a lot of work to get there... you may work pro jobs by then or it may be years from there. You need to do the work.

Check out LACHSA in LA http://www.lachsa.org/
or OCHSA is Santa Ana http://www.ocsarts.net/

If you mean after school acting classes, check out www.workingactor.com, click on actors, then training but since businesses pay to be listed here please check them out thoroughly before going to any class or using any business on this site. I think this site is a great resource, but anyone who pays can be listed.

Kids at these schools and classes take this seriously and if you think that taking one class will get you and agent and a national commercial then this is not for you. It is a business and it takes hard work. You will start acting immediately, in class.

good luck

Why have you ignored my previous answers, don't you like the truth? Why don't you attend a performing arts high school? If you want to start acting, go tryout for a play at school or in a community theatre.
