I agree...
I remember watching the brooks sisters when the show first began. I liked christine a lot. but my favorite was Nikki and when she first met Victor...the wedding was lovely...
sheila was a mess, wasn't she?
today, I have to agree. I am very unhappy with the current state of affairs. If possible, I would welcome reruns of yr.
the same with bb. the best year was when Sheila had her daughter Mary come on the scene and cause a mess. It was when Deacon was with Brooke and Amber was married to rick and there were a lot of great storylines. I would tape the entire cbs lineup and my roomie and I would skip yr to see bb.
today, I can read the spoilers...

The Possession on DOOL. Funniest ever! Marlena throwing Stefano off the balcony, the disguises, etc. Also loved it when Kristin and Marlena were stuck in the Secret Room by Susan, Ej's hick mother. She fed them pork rinds. Killer stuff. Where is that kind of stuff now? All we get now are wishy washy and down right disgusting story lines. The thought of Maggie's baby and Victor producing is barf making. They are showing too much sentimental garbage. We have to worry what Jack will do if Rafe accidentally drops the soap in the shower. Most believable couple would be Jack and Austin.

I always loved it when they had the Newmans and the Abbotts going head to head. Now I'm like you I almost hate to turn it on, the Abbotts are all gone except Jack and the Lab has been done away with, I guess. And let's not forget Jill and Katherine I always thought there was something between them even when they were sworn enemies they were always there for each other. And where do they get the young people of today. Remember Lauren and Tracey and Nickey and Paul when they were young they could keep you tuned in. Now all the young people on there just wine about something.

My favorite storyline was when Nina was living with Rose Deville in the so called home for unwed mothers which turned out to be a black market scam and Rose ended up stealing her baby at birth. I liked when Cricket found Nina on the park bench & then they became good friends. Nina also stole Cricket's boyfriend at the time Phillip Chancelor III. To this day we still don't know what happened to Nina's baby.
My second favorite is when Sharon found out about Cassie. Grace had her daughter all that time & lied about her identity over a year. I remember in the beginning Grace's intentions were good and to get Sharon's little girl back because Noah was sick & they thought he would die. But he didn't die & Grace fell in love with Cassie & kept her a secret. I also remember when Sharon first found out that that was her daughter & had her come live with her, Nick & Noah, Nick didn't like Cassie & plotted to move out. Boy how times change. You wouln't be able to tell because he eventually took her for his own little girl.

I actually have 3 favorites:
1) When Paul was in the mob trying to free his father.
2) When Lauren was kidnapped by Shawn and he buried her alive.
3) When David Kimble, who was Jill's assistant, was pretending to be in love with Nina. Had plastic surgery done on his face but the surgeon instead carved KILLER on his forehead and in the end getting crushed in the trash compactor. That was such a scary story.
I wish there were reruns or archives to watch all these old classics.

I liked the storyline with Crickett, Michael, and Isabella. Christine about to be killed in the bathtub was such a good cliffhanger.

The most powerful moment I was into was when Chris found Carl. The moment that Paul laid his eyes on his 'dead' father, I literally felt it through my whole body! I wouldn't go as far as the whole storyline, but that one moment was breathtaking.

I liked when Phyllis was scheming to keep Danny. Remember she even slept with the psychiatrist so he could help her?
