Sorry to be doomful, but contrary to what the media seems to show, getting published is a nightmare, and getting a children's book is the hardest. If you are really determined The Writer's Handbook (published by Macmillan) is a help - in fact I think they do a separate title for children's authors.
Other than that get children on your side first - use the local primary school to test the water.

You have to send your manuscripts to childrens' book publishers. Other than that you can self publish. The book that Bridget Jones' Diary movie was made from was self published so you never know. You can find info for either method on the web. Good luck!

My Dear,
In order to SELL something you have to use some personal skills... plus need to know some marketing techniques...
A very simple way to find how to sell is to ask yourself (as if you are the customer) questions such as:
- why people buy books?
- do I need this thing?
- why do I need this?
- Is it OK for my budget?
- what is the benefit of this thing to me or to (somebody)?
Write your answers on a paper.
Then, thinking about the reason of "buying or purchasing things" such as ...
" people buy because they need, people buy because they need to spend, people buy because they have to have satisfaction with something and "buying" is one of those ways, etc." prepare an intorductory phrase for Marketing your books which is short and informatory...
Then perform your business in front of the mirror as being "sales person" and as being "customer".
etc, etc....
I am sure you will find the best way according to your environment, society, and social group wherever you are living...
Be always polity, dress up properly and have your lovely smile always...
Good luck,
B.P.
