Jesus did exist, there is supporting non religious evidence of this in letters and diaries etc, I am sure he really was a great profit and did wonderful things for the people, was he the Son of God? that is the part where faith comes in and where the lines get blurred from reality, fact & fiction. If you believe, then that is fine, if you do not that is fine too. but he did live and he did die on the cross.
oh, and there was a St. Nicholas was born in 271 AD and died around December 6, 342 or 343 AD near the Asia Minor (Turkey) town of Myra,. where he later became Bishop. He performed many good deeds and was a friend to the poor and helpless.
Wizard of Oz, fiction 100%

I think that most religious scholars believe that Jesus was an actual person who lived 2000 years ago. The point where the disagreement usually begins is what his importance was.
Christians believe he was the Son of God, the Messiah. Others believe that he was perhaps a prophet and a man of God, and yet others feel he was just a man.
Your religous upbringing and beliefs will probably lead you to some conclusion about who he was and what he was. But I think if you study the ancient documents you'll have to agree that he was certainly more than a Santa Claus-like, fictional character.

Jesus did live and it is obvious from the writings about him that he was a Magus. I do wonder why, apparently, he never wrote down a single page of his thoughts or words to hand down for posterity.
Example: What I thought of what my father did in World War Two varied greatly when friends spoke of him. His letters to my mother, that I read after they both passed away, gave me a completely different view of Dad and the war he fought.

Depends on what you do with the information.
Some use the Power of Myth to control others, some use it to bring Light and Hope, some just like to spread confusion.
