As someone said, cryptozoologists (from the Greek for "study of hidden animals) study cases like this: animals that are hypothesized to exist, but conclusive evidence is missing. Think: Loch Ness Monster, Jersey Devil, the Great Sea Serpents, and yes, the sasquatches, or Yeti, or Bigfoot (depending on where you hear the legend - Bigfoot and Sasquatch is North American).
I think I will take the cryptozoologists' point and make it my argument here:
We don't know everything about our planet! There are plenty of species of bug, fish, and last year even a mouse (!) that are being discovered. Personally, I think the best chance for discovery of new animals and such is in the ocean, rainforests, and underground cavern systems. You might ask how can something as big as a sasquatch go undiscovered for so long on land? Well, if it IS a primate then chances are it is pretty smart, and if it has survived for this long without being discovered I say it is most likely very cautious, very nervous, and very smart to avoid humans.
I guess I don't know, but as some of the greatest thinkers say, what I don't know I will not dismiss too quickly.

That's the question a few people have spent years and lots of money trying to figure out, and any cryptozoologist would love to get their hands on a piece of hard evidence that they do indeed exist.
I think it's possible they may exist, but not very plausable. Granted there are still species of animals being newly discovered every year, but they're typically small and live in remote areas of the world where humans rarely go, whereas bigfoot is supposed to live here in the US (not exactly an exotic, unexplored location).
One argument I've heard that's pro-bigfoot is that you can spend all day out in the woods, every day for a month, and never see a bear. Does that mean they don't exist? But I think that if Bigfoot exists, especially with some hardcore believers putting so much effort into tracking him/her down, there would be some definitive evidence by now, perhaps some bones or something, and there's not. What "evidence" that has been found is still heavily disputed as authentic by many people in the scientific field. So I'm pretty skeptical myself.

I have ran into a big foot creature on two separate occasions with many witness... And there is nor will I ever doubt their existence ever again..... And after being so close that I was able to look into it eyes twice I know that no make-up artist could do that great of a job.... And watching the distance that it covered while running away.... None of us humans there could matched that creature stride....... So all of you non-believers can take a long walk off of a short bridge..... For big foot is very real... And I have seen several big men dressed up to look like a big foot... And even a blind man could see that the muscles rippling and their eyes were totally different... And if I am wrong I will take that long walk off of a short bridge and I will have several other following me off that bridge... I have seen fake men try and lift up men and throw them around and their muscle movement under that fake skin and their eyes was totally different............................................

There is an expedition planned to the place in the US that has had three sightings (the most of any area in the US -- I think in New Mexico). So, you may find out in a year or two if they are successful.
I have no opinion, although I was fascinated by Big Foot stories and Loch Ness stories when I was a kid.

Yes Bigfoot CAN be real, not all sightings are legit of course...but there are some where scientists cannot say what it was...an unknown. Anyway....I think they're real at least.

Never seen one, don't really believe they exist, but it would be cool if they proved they do exist one day.
