Please spare the lame rhetoric "Until victory is achieved" and all of the other empty slogans that won't fit on a ribbon.

Freedom has no price.

Okay, that was being facetious.

As much as it takes. How much are you willing to spend on continuing Johnson's great society? And spare me the rhetoric. I'd much rather spend money in Iraq that benefits not only America but the world at large than a small group of dependent class Americans who can't seem to find the initiative to get off the couch.

Why put a limit? They're printing money as we speak..they're borrowing 2 billion a day from China as we speak. No limits for this government, the rich are getting richer from this war, and they're using their spoils for world domination.

This goes way beyond the Iraq war,..the Sub Prime Mortgage sector is having a meltdown. People have over extended on credit cards and mortgages that they can't pay back.

Over the past few days, central banks in Europe, Asia and North America have pumped out more than 300 billion in an effort to ward off the widening credit crisis.

From the outrageous money printing that fueled the mortgage "boom" to the Fed "rescue," the Fed step by step is setting up the economy for inflation and a crash of the dollar that won't just affect mortgage holders and hedge funds, but anyone holding deteriorating dollars in their bank accounts and wallets.

They are borrowing the money... the people that say they will "pay" whatever it takes to "protect our troops" need to know that we are borrowing up to 60 billion a month from China... this is so all of us at home can be happy and continue our lives like there isn't a war going on. This war will have to be paid for and the next president (whether it is a Rep or Dem administration) will be blamed when we can't afford houses, vacations, and gas for our cars. Maybe Bush is smart afterall.

I don't think there's an upper limit to the total, but I'm sure we're pretty close to the limit as far as daily/monthly/annual expenditures go - otherwise, we would have committed more forces to begin with.

It's ironic, but to an extent, Iraq was and is being fought 'on the cheap.'

So what your saying is that if you were traped in a mine and it's going to cost money to get your out, we should stop at a dollar amout?

You don't like that answer because it's no different then the war.

How lucky for you that you have the freedom to ***** about spending money on not only the freedom and safety in Iraq but your own.

Countless lifes have been spent and well be spent for freedom and you would put a dollar about on it.

Maybe it's time you start paying for the freedom you have?

Hear in the US we were lucky to have the French bail us out of our war with the brits to win our freedom.

How lucky you are to not have to fight at Gettysburg for your freedom. Tho you could sit at Vally Forge and starve because congress didnt give up funds to feed you or put shoes on your feet.

How lucky are you not to have been deployed to Paschendale during WWI to fight for your freedom.

How lucky for you during WWII to have to stand your ground at Anzio or be pushed into the water for your freedom.

How lucky for you that you didnt have to fight your way back to the 38 parallel during Korea for your freedom.

How lucky for you that you didint get choppered in to the Da Nang valley with the 7th in Nam for your freedom.

How luck for you that you didnt spend your time in the bowels of the Earth in a minute man silo for your freedom.

How lucky for you that your chopper didnt go down in Mogadishu, Somalia for your freedom.

How lucky for you that you didnt live in Kuwait City when it was invaded.

How lucky for you that your not in Iraq sitting at your home hopeing that the Amercans don't leave because some middle class person don't want an extra $1 in taxes taken out of his pay for the year.

You sit back at your PC and type this crap when people around the world want to be free so much they give their life. Every place freedom failed to take hold has turned to crap, this is history!

You think that it will not matter if we fail in Iraq? Do you think that your safe in your home? WAKE UP even a nuke going off in Asia will affect the US, you are not safe.

Do you think these people have reason? They kill people for haveing vegetables layed out wrong in markets. They would kill anyone who says anthing bad about their god, woman would not be able to show their face or goto school.

They have children in hopes they will be suicide bombers to kill people who will not convert to Islam!

Your so dam lucky you didnt have to pay the price of all the men and woman who have died so that you can sit at your PC and type this crap. I'm so glad you worrie about money then life, it shows your true colors.

You have become the guy who walks by as a beating takes place.

You say "how much more money are we going to spend"

They say "Convert Or Die"

Your a money hungry coward who craps on the people who gave and give your current freedom.

I really dont think you would want the coalition forces to go home if you had to live in Iraq.

One of them told me "as much as it takes" and "as long as it takes"

I then asked him if he was going to fight in iraq, and he told me he wishes he could, but he has to stay here cause he can't afford to just drop evertything and quit his job.

So I asked him, if he favored fixing america's bridges, or if he agreed with Bush that Repairing bridges is a low priority. He told me that bridges are not a priority.
