My finance company that holds my car note has tried 2 times to acces unauthorized funds from my checking account, for amounts that dont equal any payments or charges of any kind. Can I take any action or do I not have a leg to stand on? Someone told me that on a contract theres 2 sides and they violated their side by doing that.

You would have to check your specific state laws. Most states have an office of consumer protection. I would start there.

Have you asked them why that has been happening?

Is there anything in your loan contract that says you have to let them draw directly from your checking account? If not, sever their ability to access the account at all and pay with a check each month.

Have you called the finance company to object-do you have proof that you are not behind in payments? Did you understand the contract? Did you authorize them to access your bank acct? Talk to the bank as well.
