Okay I have to read to kill a mocking bird for school, I'm about 50 pages into the book and I realized I didnt something.
So my question is, Is the finch family white or black?

Their family is white. You'll notice that they are treated better than the black community, but only marginally so, because they are "black supporters". People view them as though they are black underneath the skin, because their actions identify who they are. Hope that was helpful.

Finish reading it, THEN watch the movie. There's lots in the book that's not in the movie, but the movie is very good too.
