Normal?? I had my daughter two years ago. I'm also wondering if it could have something to do with the fact that it was an emergency c-section and my daughter was premature. Could it be nerve damage due to the fact that it was done in a hurry?

It's not a bladder infection, as I was seen and treated for that about three weeks ago.

I have the same problem with my csection scar and it has been a year and a half. My husband is always teasing me saying it is in my head, but I know I'm right. I looked it up and I read that it has to do with your nerve endings growing back. My scar is completely gone, not visible to the naked eye. It's above my scar that feels tingly. My step mom had a csection 16 years ago and she says hers still itches and feels weird. As long as it isn't swollen or hurting you will be fine.

I had 2 c-sections, and after the second, I noticed tingling on my right side all the way to the end of the bikini scar. It was pretty numb when I touched it. So I asked the dr. and he said they'd probably cut a nerve and not to worry about it. It might regenerate itself, and it might not, certainly nothing to worry about.

Well, I hadn't checked for years and years (my baby is 17), but just for you I checked. There is almost no area of numbness, so my nerves have regenerated. Hopefully yours will, too.

Both of my children were C-section. My son is almost 23 and my daughter is almost 20. I'm here to put your mind at easy. After all these years, I still have some numbness where my scar is. My OB/GYN has assured me that it is normal and some people continue to experience numbness for the rest of their lives. It depends totally on the individual.
You're okay and normal. If you still have reservations, visit your OB/GYN and ask questions. To keep from forgetting what you want to ask, write it down and take the questions with you. Trust me, they won't laugh. They're job is to help you. My brother is a medical professional and he recommends the "list of questions" to patients.

I had an emergency c-section too, and mine stayed numb for a long time but never tingled. I don't think it would be because it was in a hurry, but may be because they had to tug a lot to get her out. Most likely normal but you can always ask your doctor if you feel uncomfortable.

i had a c-section a year ago, going to have another one here soon, but anyways. i have a numb spot from it. it happends when they cut through everything. my mom had c-sections with both me and my sister. she still has a numb spot. its a side effect of having a c-section. some people have had their numb spots stop being numb.

You didn't notice before? I agree that it may be nerve damage, but I would see a doctor about it specifically to find out.

Probably scar tissue. I know mine did the same thing and that's all it was.
