Heck yeah I think they could win it. No one thought that Georgia could win it in '05 and the same with LSU in '01. With a coach like Spurrier, plus having 10 starters return on defense, I think they have a great chance at winning it. Oh yeah and I'm a Tennessee Fan. Go Vols!

I think they definitely have a chance, but so does everyone. Considering USC hasn't placed above #2 in the SEC East since joining in '92, it would definitely be a feat for them to do so. That being said, Spurrier does some incredible things given the time (in college football atleast). With a team returning 16 starters under a coach that has coached a team up from nothing before, USC definitely has a chance. If they aren't contending for an SEC championship this year, I would definitely expect to see them in it next year.

They certainly have much more talented players than they used to and the old ball coach Spurrier who has them believing in themselves. I believe they very well may pull an upset or two but I just can't see them beating out Florida overall. I think that they will make a great run at it however and get into a good bowl game this year.

possibly.. with Spurrier you can never rule out anyone he coaches.. they have probably their best defense ever at that school and alot of solid talent on Offense.. and return a ton of starters.. I still think the east comes down to a tie breaker between UT, Georgia and SC.. but the East will dominate the Championship game be it LSU or Auburn or Arkansas.. just too much talent on those teams right now.. but Tennessee manages to not get Auburn or LSU this year and that will help bigtime for the Vols

for the record.. my preseason prediction is.. Auburn over South Carolina in OT.. just a hunch though.. LSU/Auburn will decide East.. and SC vs Georgia EARLY will go a long ways to telling who comes out on top over there..

They are not the favored to win it, but it certainly is possible.
Steve Spurrier has vastly improved this team. A couple of upsets in the regular season, then it comes down to one game for the championship. It could happen.

South Carolina? Football? No chance. They won't let the recruits that Spurrier wants into the school. Their grades aren't good enough. If you can find smart kids that can play football, then maybe.
