The question is not should you go to college for theatre arts, is it? Being in a school play does indeed count. Be in all the plays you can while you are in high school. You need to be aware of two unpopular truths about college theatre majors: 1. The vast majority of them offer no real training for someone who wants to be an actor; 2. The few that do are very selective and very expensive. Learn more: click on my name, and read my profile and ask me more questions at my aol address.

You are 13 and by the time you go to college that will have changed...and if you really do end up doing theater it is the easiest degree to get!

Read as many plays as you can. Read plays. If there is a community theater close to where you live, ask if you can volunteer with them. Ask your parents to take you to see plays, if there is a theater close to where you live.
