I LOVE BLEACH! I is the best household cleaner. You can use it for SO many things... BUT be careful using it on things that will go into childrens & pets mouths though. Just wash it with soap and water after using bleach if you use it on their stuff. It sanitizes wonderfully. I just sprayed it in my tub to get the soap scum ring out, and all I had to do was rub gently with a scrubber/sponge & it all came off. Plus, once the scent fades a bit, your home smells clean. Be sure to use it in a well ventilated area. It can make you a bit dizzy if you are sniffy the fumes for too long.

I use it to clean the toilet, sink, bathroom tile floor, put a little down the kitchen sink into the garbage disposal, not to much, then add hot water and turn the disposal on for a couple of seconds. This cleans out the tiny pieces of food that may have gotten caught in the blades somehow and eliminates any foul smells. I also put some bleach on a rag and wipe down the garbage container, inside and out, I also use it to clean and disinfect the litter boxes, but be sure to use plenty of warm water afterwards to get rid of the bleach, so the pets don't burn their paws when they use the litter box, there must be over 100 different things in the household that bleach can be used on to clean. Also try and wear some type of gloves, Rubbermaid are the best when handling bleach as if it gets on your skin it will burn them.

Chlorine bleach disinfects (kills bacteria) and removes many foul odors. I use it once a week or so in the toilet to clean it. Chlorine bleach also whitens laundry. Do not use it on dark colors or it will remove the color and ruin your clothes. I use it when I wash whites like towels and sheets. It makes them whiter, gets rid of stains and freshens.
I am not sure of an alternative to bleach. Maybe hydrogen peroxide.
Be sure never to mix bleach with ammonia because toxic fumes will result. Always dilute bleach with a little water when using in the washer and let it get mixed well before adding clothes.

Bleach kills bacteria and cleans just about everything. I use it in the kitchen, bathroom, walls and woodwork, laundry and even for dirt and mold buildup on cement and wood decking. If there is another product that cleans so many things any better, I haven't heard of it.

My bathroom ceiling was starting to look a bit off colour and mouldy. I cleaned it with bleach, now it's as good as new and brilliant white.

Outside the house it is excellent to kill weeds in patios and paths and I also use it as a weedkiller throughout the garden.
It will also get rid of moss on tarmacadam and concrete.
