Americans, what are some of the benefits of having unsecured and unregulated national borders?

jxt299, I guess the 12+ million illegal immigrants in America did not cross the borders to get here. Please let me know where this Star Trek beaming technology exists, so I can witness first hand.

There aren't any benefits to illegal immigration.The United States is importing poverty & corruption from Mexico & Central America.American taxpayers are forced to pay the bill for illegal immigrants & their children.

I live close enough to the Mexican border that I can see it. It is NOT unsecured or unregulated, it is very well secured and very well regulated. Where did the idea come up that it isn't? To cross into the US you stand in line for an hour with your papers, or wait in your car for up to two or even three hours in the hot sun, the border guards look everybody over and talk to every single person and look at every single person's papers, they often have drug dogs sniff your car or even sniff you...it is very well controlled, it always has been. It is BS to believe that it isn't. Believe me, I see how well controlled it is every day.
