Look, guys - I've been on here for a month, now, and I'm sadly addicted, I love it here, and I love you guys and your answers.

This is part question, part plea - PLEASE, PLEASE do not feed the trolls anymore! It makes them worse (I know you've heard this before) - bet even more, I know of people that are reporting you for feeding them!! I don't want any of you people with open minds and kind words getting BANNED from here while the trolls get exactly what they want. I know I'm putting myself on a limb by doing this, but....

Also, please let me know any other ideas, besides ignoring, reporting and blocking that you veterans and smart people might have. Ciao! XOXO

Let me point out the main reason I've posted this, guys. They are reporting people for NOT ignoring them!

I agree, Lucas - and actually, that's the reason I posted this! I didn't know I was feeding a troll until it was too late! And Juan, yes, I know I'm sticking my neck out, but I had to get some information. I know you guys think you're being funny, but you've given me some good ideas to go by. :)

The Trolls hate it when you roll your eyes at them. Thats why in some of my answers i put *rolls eyes* lol :)

If we do not answer their questions, eventually they will get bored with us and move on. Altho, Im a little nervous and scared, because if they are not sitting at home on the computer being trolls, are they out committing hate crimes against LGBT people?

So we should maybe re-think your plan of attack, for the safety of the unsuspecting crowd. Cuz Id rather them in here asking dumb-a** questions than out on the street laughing at someone or throwing objects at them (as Ive seen happen at lot cuz I live close to Chciago)

Just a thought.

I really don't see the big deal. Every trolls worse fear is being ignored the attention they need to survive, so ignore them don't even read wht they post. I think all of the racists and homophobic trolls are hilarious. Some of the meaner trolls will post an absolutly tasteless question and then report the people who respond attacking them. They really aren't bad people once you get to know them, just here for laughs and jokes. Shelton is the funniest, kkkj was cool to but he hasn't been on in a while.

I think it's all in what we feed them. I find with Trolls that it's best to keep them in a small dark box under the stairs and only feed them sweet tarts and gum drops. For really quick results, you can start them on simple syrup I-V's. It is also essential that you hide all mirrors from their view as the sight of their own reflection has been known to have adverse effects in this rehabilitation process.

You can't stop hatred and ignorance my friend. Just don't give them your energy.

The first step in controlling any infestation is to recognize whether you have an infestation or not - how do you know if you have a troll infestation?
On the net some comments may be troll like but time is the best answer to whether or not it is an epidemic.

A good can of Troll B Gone usually does it :D

Taking them seriously makes them come back once or twice. If they come back more than once or twice, they're just closet cases and I feel sorry for them in a way.

I try to limit my troll responses to 1) Complete morons or 2) Obvious closet cases

But I'll take your question into definite consideration :D

=/ ...
only things we can do right now (for now...i hope) is all the ones that you have mentioned... e-bullies are gradually becoming the topical issue these days...hopefully forums will be able to find ways to eliminate the cyber-bullying and of course, playground bullyings in the long term too.
keep ignoring, reporting and blocking~ and cross our fingers that it'll stop those bullies.

im ranting!

I hear ya....it's not as much fun anymore since a lot of the trolls that were here a few months ago have gone....they liked to argue back...it was a little fun....

the new ones are just hateful and belligerent.....

I agree with you, though....we should just ignore the stupidity...maybe then they will go away....yeah right!!

Good point Gochefs. But what with those you don't know that are trolls - that at first sight seem to ask to genuine question ?

You may want to delete this question to prevent you getting a violation notice. Just a heads up.

That being said, I've enjoyed your company.

And, I don't like talking to them, I certainly don't want to talk about them.
