They say temporal lobes and they have called this the "God Spot":

But as a Muslim Medical Doctor has said, it is acting as an "antennae" : quote... "Although it is said that the temporal lobe houses the God-spot and is the seat of a God-given human faculty for experiencing the divine, it is only acting as an antenna" unquote...source:

In connection with our religious belief and prayer and meditation, other areas of the brain must also be involved since no part of the brain works in isolation, as is the case with all human organs, physiological systems, even cells. There is something unique going on even in cells called cross-talk.

Other areas of the brain and involvement in connection with belief or religious practices:

The frontal lobe evidently helps us focus our attention in prayer and meditation:

The parietal lobe is the seat of our sensory information. Dr. Andrew Newberg, a Neuroscientist and author of "Why We Believe What We Believe" has said that "it's involved in that feeling of becoming part of something greater than oneself."
(same source: http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/04/04/neurotheology/index.html )

The limbic system is said to regulates our emotions and to be responsible for feelings of awe and joy.

I found what was written regarding the frontal lobe particularly interesting as a Muslim because the frontal cortex of the brain is stimulated during the act of Sudjood (prostration with forehead touching the ground for some time). And the frontal lobe was said to be involved in focusing our attention in prayer.

Not sure if there really is a part of the brain linked to belief, however there are several genes that have been identified as affecting the propensity to belief.

The very same portion of the brain that leads Humans to believe in OTHER Fantasy Characters, such as Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Superman, Mr. Honest & Intelligent American President, and even ME. Fortunately for Me, I was born without this vestigial portion of the brain.

The neocortex is responsible for man's insatitiable desire to explain things. It's a basic survival trait. For most, religion serves as an inert but salving filler when reason fails to provide an answer. For those with a weak immune system for such "explanations", it can become malignant.

Belief is defined as sincerity of heart and affirmation on the tongue. This is the Islamic version , so the tongue is a sign but the heart is the place of belief.

It isn't any part of the brain; it's the heart. You have to believe from your heart that there is a God, and accept Him as your personal Saviour to be saved.
